Preparation of diabetic patients for endoscopic procedures

The paper deals with our experience with the preparation of diabetic patients for endoscopic procedures. Up to 60 % of diabetics have

gastrointestinal tract disease. Given their specific disease, these patients require a special approach when being prepared for all kinds

of invasive procedures. The approaches mentioned in this paper, based on our many years of practice, may serve as guides for other

departments concerned with the same problem.
