This article is focused on the perceived health of Roma ethnicity. The pilot study was focused on the evaluation of health for Roma ethnicity.
It was used selective empirical method and descriptive statistics. Selected characteristics evaluation of health, were collected using a
questionnaire, structured interviews and observation. Among the characteristics that assess health, were included - lack adaptive behavior
of the surrounding changes, lack of knowledge about basic health practices, lack of interest in improving the health-promoting behaviors,
inability to take responsibility for compliance with basic health practices and deterioration of cognition. The results showed that the Roma
have a more instrumental approach to your health, because it did not follow basic preventive health practices did not comply with the
principles of a healthy lifestyle and overuse of addictive substances (tobacco, alcohol). The results of the pilot study were compare with
found research works about the subjective perception on the health of the Roma ethnic group focused on disease prevention, but rather
to the resulting health problems led Roma to seek medical help.
