Erdostein - antibakteriální mukolytikum

Akutní respirační infekty u dětí i dospělých jsou jedny z nejčastějších onemocnění zimního období, které přivádějí pacienty k lékaři. Téměř vždy bývají spojeny s kašlem. Ne vždy je jeho příčinou bakteriální infekce a tedy nutnost zahajovat antibiotickou léčbu. V současné době je na trhu k dispozici účinné expektorans s mukomodulačním, antioxidačním, antiflogistickým a antibakteriálním efektem – erdostein. Představuje zajímavou alternativu pro léčbu řady respiračních infektů z důvodu jejich nejasné etiologie. Jeho včasným nasazením můžeme předejít nutnosti aplikace antibiotik. Dále při společném podávání s amoxicilinem, ciprofloxacinem, klaritromycinem zvyšuje koncentraci tohoto antibiotika ve sputu. Erdostein je dobře snášen, lze ho podávat i u dětí od 15 kg váhy.
