V článku se autoři věnují problematice depresivních onemocnění ve stáří. Článek se zaměřuje na zvláštnosti klinického obrazu těchto poruch, jejich etiologii, terapii a důraz klade na diagnostiku a diferenciální diagnostiku. Je určen pro orientaci v dané problematice zejména lékařů nepsychiatrů i s upozorněním na možná úskalí léčby.
