Jak léčit depresi v ordinaci PL?

V současné době se přesunula léčba depresivních stavů do ambulance praktického lékaře. Léčba představuje proces, který má svoji dynamiku. V akutní fázi je nejdůležitější co nejrychlejší odstranění příznaků, při léčbě dlouhodobé prevence opakovaných depresivních epizod. Dnes máme k dispozici několik desítek antidepresiv (AD). AD se mezi sebou liší mechanismem účinku, což se promítá do profilu jejich vedlejších účinků. Nejvíce předpisována jsou AD skupiny SSRI (inhibotoři zpětného vychytávání serotoninu). Lékař při volbě musí vycházet z dostupných informací o léčbě a detailní znalosti nemocného. Individualizovaná léčba je dnes hlavní zásadou léčby.
