The concept of the enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) is a complex of strategies intended to reduce the perioperative stress
response and achieve faster postoperative rehabilitation and rapid recovery of normal physiologic functions. The effect of ERAS
should be in the reduction of length of stay and postoperative complications. The object of this article is the part of ERAS recommendations
concerning the preadmission care.
